Wake HER Up, LLC
Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 1, 2022 | Last Updated: July 30, 2026
Website: wakeherup.co | Contact: hello@wakeherup.co
1. Introduction
Wake HER Up, LLC (“Wake HER Up,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when and with whom we share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to our website at wakeherup.co, our email and text/SMS communications, our online community, our provider directory, and any related services we offer (together, the “Services”).
By using the Services, subscribing to our communications, or providing us with your information, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Important — Who We Are (and Who We Are Not)
Wake HER Up is an educational platform and an informational directory. We help women learn about hormone health, perimenopause, and menopause, and we provide a directory that lists independent, third-party healthcare providers, educators, and products. We are a resource that helps you find and connect with providers — we are not a healthcare provider, medical practice, pharmacy, or telehealth service.
Not Medical Advice
Wake HER Up does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All content, resources, community discussion, and directory listings are for general informational and educational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a qualified, licensed healthcare provider.
Always seek the advice of your physician or another qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition, medications, or treatment. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read, saw, or heard through the Services. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or 911 immediately.
We Are a Directory — We Do Not Endorse or Vet Providers
Providers, educators, and products listed in our directory are independent third parties and are not employed by, partnered with in a clinical capacity, supervised by, or agents of Wake HER Up. We do not charge providers, educators, or product companies to be listed.
A listing is not a recommendation, referral, endorsement, guarantee, or warranty of any provider’s qualifications, licensure, credentials, quality of care, availability, or outcomes. We do not independently verify the credentials or licensure of listed providers. Any decision to contact, engage, or receive care or products from a listed provider is solely your own, and any resulting relationship is strictly between you and that third party.
We are not responsible or liable for the acts, omissions, advice, services, products, privacy practices, or billing of any provider or third party you find through the directory.
3. Information We Collect
Information You Provide to Us
We collect information you voluntarily give us, which may include:
- Contact and identity information — such as your name, email address, and mailing address when you subscribe to our newsletter, download resources, register for an event, join our community, or contact us.
- Phone number and contact preferences — your mobile or other phone number, and your stated preference for how you would like us (or, where applicable, a provider) to reach you, including by text message (SMS/MMS) and/or phone call. See Section 5 for details.
- Communications — the content of messages, questions, survey responses, and feedback you send to us.
- Community content — posts, comments, and information you choose to share in our community groups.
- Transaction information — if you purchase a product or service, order and payment-related details (payment card data is processed by our payment processors, not stored by us).
Information We Collect Automatically
When you use the Services, we and our analytics and advertising partners may automatically collect:
- Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, links clicked, and dates/times of access.
- Cookies and similar technologies — as described in Section 8.
Information From Third Parties
We may receive information about you from third parties, such as analytics providers, advertising and social media platforms, event or community platforms, and service providers who help us operate the Services.
4. Health-Related and Sensitive Information
Because our content relates to women’s hormone health, you may choose to share health-related details with us or within our community (for example, in a message, survey, or post). Providing such information is entirely voluntary. Wake HER Up is not a “covered entity” or “business associate” under HIPAA, and information you share with us is generally not protected health information under HIPAA. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing, and avoid posting sensitive health details publicly in community spaces. Where required by law, we treat certain health-related and other sensitive information with additional protections and will not use or disclose it except as permitted by applicable law or with your consent.
5. Phone Numbers, Text Messages (SMS/MMS), and Phone Calls
This section describes how we handle your phone number and your communication preferences. We take telephone and text-messaging consent seriously and follow applicable laws, including the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and industry (CTIA) guidelines.
Your Consent and Preferences
We will only contact you by text message or phone call in accordance with the preferences you select and the consent you provide. When you give us your phone number and opt in, you can tell us how you’d like to hear from us — by text message, by phone call, or both. You are never required to provide a phone number or agree to texts or calls in order to use our website, browse the directory, or receive our other Services.
By providing your phone number and opting in, you give your prior express consent (and, for any promotional or marketing messages or calls, your prior express written consent) to receive communications at the number you provide, including messages and calls sent using automated technology. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or of using the Services.
What You May Receive
Depending on the preferences you choose, communications may include:
- Account, transactional, and service messages (for example, confirmations, event details, resource links, or replies to your inquiries);
- Community, educational, and informational updates; and
- Promotional or marketing messages and calls about our content, events, products, and offers, where you have consented to receive them.
Message Frequency, Rates, and Delivery
- Message frequency varies and may be recurring based on your interactions and preferences.
- Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier’s standard messaging and data charges may apply to any messages we send or you send to us.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Supported carriers and availability may change, and message delivery is subject to your carrier and device.
How to Opt Out or Get Help
- To stop text messages, reply STOP to any text message from us at any time. After you send STOP, we will send one confirmation message and will not send you further texts unless you opt in again.
- For help, reply HELP to any text message, or contact us at hello@wakeherup.co.
- To stop phone calls, you may tell us during a call, follow any opt-out prompt provided, or email us at hello@wakeherup.co to be placed on our internal do-not-call list.
- To change your preferences, email us at hello@wakeherup.co and tell us how (if at all) you’d like to be contacted.
We honor opt-out requests promptly, consistent with applicable law. Note that opting out of marketing texts or calls does not necessarily stop non-marketing, transactional, or service messages you have requested.
How We Protect Your Mobile Information
Mobile Opt-In Data Is Never Sold or Shared for Marketing
No mobile information (including your phone number and text-messaging opt-in) will be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may share your information with service providers and subcontractors who help us operate our messaging program (for example, our SMS platform or customer-support vendors), solely to provide those services to us and under obligations of confidentiality. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties for other purposes.
6. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services and our directory;
- Communicate with you — including by email, text, and phone — according to your preferences and consent;
- Send newsletters, educational content, event information, and, where you have consented, promotional messages;
- Respond to your questions, requests, and support needs;
- Personalize your experience and understand how the Services are used;
- Process transactions and deliver products or services you request;
- Maintain the safety, security, and integrity of the Services;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms; and
- Keep records of consent and communications as required by law.
7. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share your mobile opt-in data with third parties for their marketing. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers — vendors who help us operate the Services (for example, email and SMS platforms, analytics providers, event and community platforms, payment processors, and IT/support providers), under contracts that limit their use of your information.
- At your direction — when you choose to contact, book with, or connect to a directory provider or other third party, your interaction and any information you share are governed by that third party’s own privacy practices.
- Legal and safety — when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, respond to legal process, protect our rights, or protect the safety of any person.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.
- With your consent — for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time we collect the information.
8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, analyze traffic, and — where applicable — support advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where offered, through cookie-preference tools on our site. Some features may not function properly if you disable cookies. Depending on your location and applicable law, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) where required.
9. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access / Know — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you and how we use and share it.
- Correct — request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
- Delete — request that we delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Opt out — unsubscribe from emails (via the “unsubscribe” link), opt out of texts (reply STOP), and opt out of calls (as described in Section 5).
- Opt out of “sharing” / targeted advertising — where applicable under state law.
- Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA) and residents of other states with privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. To exercise any right, email us at hello@wakeherup.co. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request, and you may use an authorized agent where the law allows.
10. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with our legal obligations (including retaining records of consent for text and phone communications for the period required by law), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
11. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping any account credentials confidential.
12. Children’s Privacy
The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under the minimum age required by applicable law). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us at hello@wakeherup.co and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
13. Third-Party Links, Providers, and Services
The Services contain links to and listings for third-party websites, providers, and products. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or the products or services they provide. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party before providing your information or engaging their services.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
