  1. Perimenopause can start as early as 35.
    It’s not just a “late 40s” issue—symptoms can begin 10+ yearsbeforemenopause.
  2. You can still have a regular cycle and be in perimenopause.
    Even with monthly periods, shifting hormones may already be affecting your body and mind.
  3. Menopause is one single day.
    It’s the 12-month milestone without a period. Everything before is perimenopause. Everything after is postmenopause.
  4. Fewer than 20% of gynecologists receive menopause training.
    Most doctors are not educated in hormonal health—so if you’ve felt dismissed, you’re not alone.
  5. The hormone scare in the 1990s? It was wrong.
    The WHI study that claimed HRT was dangerous has since been debunked—modern research supports hormone therapy as safe and effective.
  6. Perimenopause is a natural phase—just like puberty.
    It’s not a disease, and there’s no definitive lab test to “diagnose” it. Your symptomsarevalid, even if your labs look “normal.”
